Frequently asked questions

Quick answers for creating, exporting, and publishing picture books with StoryForge.

Can I sell books made with StoryForge?

Yes. StoryForge is designed for creator-owned outputs. You are responsible for ensuring your inputs do not include copyrighted characters, trademarked brands, or protected third-party material.

Can I use exports for Amazon KDP or Lulu?

You can export PDF and ZIP files for review and production workflows. Before uploading to any marketplace, check trim size, bleed, margins, image quality, and that the final file satisfies that platform's current requirements.

How do credits work?

Story planning uses fewer credits than illustration generation. Page illustrations and retries use more credits because they require image models. The project wizard shows an estimate before you start.

How does StoryForge keep characters consistent?

StoryForge saves character, scene, prop, color, and style decisions as a shared visual brief. Later steps reuse that brief when creating page art direction and images.

What should I do if generation fails?

Retry the failed step first. If only one page image is wrong, use page-level regeneration instead of rerunning the whole project.
